Hoy aprenderemos a usar el Past Simple, el tiempo verbal que usamos para hablar de cosas que ya pasaron.

🧠 What is the Past Simple?

¿Qué es el pasado simple?

We use the Past Simple to talk about actions that finished in the past.

Usamos el pasado simple para hablar de acciones que ya ocurrieron.

📌 Examples:

• Yesterday → ayer

• Last week → la semana pasada

• Two days ago → hace dos días

• In 2023 → en 2023

✏️ Regular Verbs: Easy and Fun!

Los verbos regulares son muy fáciles:
👉 Añadimos -ed al verbo.

Verb	Past	Traducción
play	played	jugar → jugó
walk	walked	caminar → caminó
clean	cleaned	limpiar → limpió
watch	watched	ver → vio

📘 Example:

I played football yesterday.
Yo jugué al fútbol ayer.

🌀 Irregular Verbs: The Crazy Ones!

Los verbos irregulares son traviesos 😜
No siguen reglas… ¡hay que memorizarlos!

go	went	ir → fue
eat	ate	comer → comió
see	saw	ver → vio
come	came	venir → vino
do	did	hacer → hizo
have	had	tener → tuvo

En pasado, have siempre es had.

❓ Making Questions

Usamos DID:

Did you play football?
¿Jugaste al fútbol?

Did she go to the cinema?
¿Fue ella al cine?

Y con to be, no usamos did:

Was he tired?
¿Estaba él cansado?

En inglés no se dice:

Se dice:
✅ Yesterday I went to school
